Tuesday I wrote about my experiences with men and their shopping ………….. shall we say, adventures, in the lingerie department. In the past I have had my best friends’ boyfriends ask my advice on what he should surprise my friend with, however last week I was intrigued to hear someone else’s solution to finding the “perfect” gift. A woman was shopping for a lingerie ensemble. . She informed me that for birthdays, and holidays such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day, she and her best friend actually pick out the gifts for the other’s husbands that way ensuring that their best friend would get a gift that they would truly love. The obvious hangup here is the fact that the men/husbands put virtually no thought into the gift, just fork over the dough. What do you think? Would you rather receive a gift that you know was merely paid for by your honey, or would you cherish the present that came straight from his heart regardless of whether it’s your taste or not.
